FAQ’s and Information
The event at Shelter Cove Resort & Marina on Odell Lake is the 2nd weekend of July. This years event will be held on July 7th & 8th 2023
All veterans are welcome, Each veteran participating needs to register separately.
CAMPING
Camping is free to those camping in a tent or van. Any camping done with an RV is at the expense of each individual veteran. There are cabins at the resort and again that is at the expense of each veteran. There are state campgrounds ( Trapper Creek ) which is next to the resort.
FOOD
TAVF will feed all veterans, boat captains, volunteers and families Friday night dinner, Saturday breakfast and Saturday late lunch. Shelter Cove resort has a well stocked store and café. There are showers and laundry facilities available.
REGISTRATION
The TAVF registration both will be open Friday afternoon starting at 1300 hrs. We ask everyone attending to be at the resort by 1600 hrs. The event will begin at 1700 hrs. The event officially ends Saturday afternoon
Boat captains also need to register and make their reservations with Shelter Cove Resort and reserve a boat slip.
ONLY VETERANS ARE ALLOWED TO GO OUT ONTO THE BOATS FOR Saturdays fishing excursion.
All veterans fishing must have a Oregon fishing license. Those who cannot afford one must indicate on the registration form and they will be contacted by the event coordinator.
